Biography | Stan Kroenke — The Majority He Filed for the Ground on Ashburton Grove

The bowl on Ashburton Grove opened in 2006.
Stan Kroenke did not own the club that played in it until a Monday filing four and a half years later.
On 11 April 2011 Kroenke Sports Enterprises told the London market it had agreed to buy two of the old family holdings.
Danny Fiszman accounted for about 16.1 percent.
Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith accounted for about 15.9 percent.
Added to the shares he already held, the two deals took him to about 62.9 percent.
The price was £11,750 a share.
That valued Arsenal Holdings at £731 million and, because he had crossed 30 percent, forced a mandatory offer for the rest.
He had first arrived on 5 April 2007, when the same company bought ITV’s 9.99 percent stake.
The package, including a conditional piece of Arsenal Broadband, was put at £65 million, or £6,800 a share.
By 20 April 2007 the holding stood at 12.19 percent.
On 19 September 2008 the board made him a non-executive director.
The chairman who had publicly dismissed him the year before now pointed to his work in sports marketing and real estate.
Alisher Usmanov’s Red and White vehicle held about 27 percent in 2011 and did not sell.
The stadium itself had opened on 22 July 2006 on the old industrial triangle between two rail lines and Queensland Road, about 800 metres from Highbury.
Capacity was just over 60,000.
On 7 August 2018 Usmanov agreed to sell the remaining 30.05 percent at £29,419.64 a share, a stake valued at just over £550 million.
That later filing took the club private.
