GOOD LUCK!! | Chuo-Ohashi Bridge — Hajime and Ayumi’s Riverside Conversations

TBS’s 2003 aviation drama GOOD LUCK!! repeatedly uses Chuo-Ohashi Bridge over the Sumida River as one of the places where first officer Hajime Shinkai and aircraft mechanic Ayumi Ogawa talk away from the airport. The filming-location archive identifies the cable-stayed bridge between Shinkawa and Tsukuda as their recurring conversation location.

The bridge is still in everyday public use. Chuo City’s tourism association identifies Chuo-Ohashi as one of the Sumida River bridges and notes that it was built in the early 1990s as part of the Tsukuda waterfront redevelopment. Its distinctive cables and river skyline make this one of the series’ clearest surviving Tokyo locations.

Pilgrimage note: this is an active road bridge with pedestrian paths, not a preserved set. Use the sidewalks and river approaches for photographs and do not obstruct cyclists or other pedestrians.
