夜の城が色を変え、園内放送と笑い声が絶え間なく流れる。第9話の「ディスティニーランド」で、八幡、雪乃、結衣、いろはたちはクリスマスイベントの参考という名目を掲げ、東京ディズニーランドを歩く。仕事なら一緒にいられる。そう言い換えれば、壊れかけた関係にも一日だけ普通の形を与えられた。
アトラクションの列、揃いの土産、写真を撮るために詰める距離。ここでは親しい高校生らしい行動が次々に用意されているのに、三人はその型へ完全には収まらない。雪乃が見せる幼いほど素直な表情も、八幡が目を逸らす瞬間も、結衣が空気をつなぐ優しさも、明るい照明の下だからこそ隠しきれない。
シンデレラ城の前では、誰もが同じ方向を向いて写真に収まる。けれど彼らが探していた「本物」は、笑顔の枚数では測れなかった。閉園へ向かう光の中で残るのは、楽しい一日を過ごしても、言わなかったことまでは消えないという静かな手触りだ。
