Biography | Carla Jeffery — The Museum That Played a Cheer Championship

Bree's squad did not compete in an American gym.

The building that stood in for the Regional Cheer Championship is a museum of Islamic art in North York.

Fumihiko Maki designed the Aga Khan Museum at 77 Wynford Drive.

It opened on 18 September 2014 on a shared park with Toronto's Ismaili Centre.

IMDb records the museum as the exterior used for the championship in Disney Channel's Zombies, shot in Toronto in 2017.

Carla Jeffery played Bree, Addison Wells's friend on the Seabrook cheer team.

The part asked her to sell pep and loyalty in a story about a town that wanted everyone uniform.

She was already a working child actor when production started in May 2017.

Deadline listed her in the first announced cast, after Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim.

The finished film, directed by Paul Hoen, premiered on 16 February 2018.

Jeffery returned for two sequels and later voiced Bree on the animated series.

The white stone box on Wynford is still a museum.

A visitor now walks past a reflecting pool and a collection assembled by the Aga Khan, not a cheer floor.

The pin is the public face of the competition her character trained for.

Jeffery died on 1 September 2026.
