Fuji TV’s 2009 月9 drama ブザー・ビート〜崖っぷちのヒーロー〜 uses 国立代々木競技場 第二体育館 (Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium) as one of the clearest real basketball locations in the series. The filming-location record identifies the arena as the JC ARCS playoff venue in episode 1, broadcast 13 July 2009, and returns to the same Second Gymnasium for the championship game in the finale on 21 September 2009.

A contemporary Sports Nippon report adds unusually strong production evidence: on 12 June 2009 the cast held the drama’s production event at Yoyogi Second Gymnasium, where roughly 2,000 extras gathered and basketball game scenes were filmed. That makes this more than a look-alike arena or later fan attribution.

The Japan Sport Council still operates the complex at 2-1-1 Jinnan, Shibuya. Its official facility guide describes the Second Gymnasium as an active bowl-shaped arena used particularly for basketball, wrestling and badminton.
