Galileo (2007) | Kyoto University Yoshida Campus — Teito University

Fuji TV’s original 2007 ガリレオ (Galileo) uses Kyoto University’s Yoshida Campus as one of the real-world faces of the fictional 帝都大学 (Teito University), where physicist Manabu Yukawa teaches. The nationwide filming-location archive identifies Kyoto University specifically as Teito University, while also documenting other properties used to complete the fictional campus; this is therefore best understood as one part of a composite screen university rather than the sole location for every Teito scene.

Kyoto University independently confirms its historic Yoshida Campus at Yoshida-Honmachi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. The central campus and clock-tower area provide the academic atmosphere associated with Yukawa’s university life.
