People treat a foundation CEO as someone hired in a press room that could be anywhere.
The Wikimedia Foundation dated Bernadette Meehan's start to an address in this San Francisco tower.
On 9 December 2025 the Foundation announced her appointment as chief executive officer from San Francisco.
She took the job on 20 January 2026, succeeding Maryana Iskander as the sixth CEO.
The Foundation's own administrative-space page lists the office as One Sansome Street, Suite 1895, San Francisco, California 94104.
Staff occupied that floor on 1 October 2024 after leaving One Montgomery Tower a few blocks west.
The 41-story building at Sutter and Sansome was finished in 1984 and is also called Citigroup Center.
The granite bank hall at its base is the old Anglo and London Paris National Bank of 1910.
The suite is not a public museum. The street entrance is.
Meehan arrived from a different kind of public work.
She had left the ambassadorship in Santiago when the Biden administration ended in January 2025.
Before Chile she had run global programs at the Obama Foundation.
The Wikimedia announcement stressed international leadership and community work, not a product launch.
