Etsy bought Depop in 2021 for about 1.6 billion dollars in cash.
On 20 July 2022 Depop's own newsroom named Kruti Patel Goyal, then Etsy's chief product officer, as the next chief executive, effective 12 September 2022.
Companies House recorded her appointment as a director of Depop Limited on that same 12 September date.
The secondment letter Etsy filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission moved her from the Brooklyn office to Depop's London office and set the start at 12 September 2022.
Depop had taken the second floor of 20 Farringdon Road, opposite Farringdon station, in 2021.
The block is a public commercial building a visitor can still stand in front of.
She stayed in the role into 2025, when she returned to Etsy as president and chief growth officer.
