Biography | Ola Källenius — The Sveavägen Building Where He Took a Finance Master

People treat Mercedes-Benz's chief executive as a product of a Stuttgart drawing office.
The first degree he finished was taken on this Stockholm street.
Sten Ola Källenius was born in Västervik on 11 June 1969.
He sat his school-leaving exam at Danderyds gymnasium, north of the city.
After military service in 1988 and 1989 he enrolled at the Stockholm School of Economics.
The company's official biography records a master in finance and accounting, completed between 1989 and 1993.
The same years included a CEMS term at the University of St. Gallen, recorded there as a master of international management.
The main building at Sveavägen 65 was built in 1926 for the school.
Knut Agathon Wallenberg paid a large part of the cost.
The school had opened in 1909 in Brunkebergs hotel on Brunkebergstorg and moved here when the new house was ready.
A visitor now uses the entrance on Bertil Ohlins gata, around the block from the Sveavägen facade.
The nearest metro is Rådmansgatan.
The school is a private business school, not a faculty of Stockholm University.
Källenius is a living executive.
