On 15 March 2016 Stefano Domenicali became president and chief executive of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.
The factory and registered office sit here, at Via Modena 12 in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
The company's own press release, carried by Lambocars and by a 23 February 2016 Audi preview, set that date and named Stephan Winkelmann as the man he replaced.
Winkelmann moved to quattro GmbH.
Domenicali had left Ferrari in April 2014 and spent the interval as vice president for new business initiatives at AUDI AG.
Sant'Agata is a small comune west of Bologna, known for this plant since Ferruccio Lamborghini opened it in 1963.
The visitor museum shares the same street number.
The work was inside the factory.
Italian coverage of his tenure records the numbers the firm published while he was there: turnover passed one billion euros in 2017; the Urus SUV went on sale in 2018 and turnover rose about 40 percent to 1.42 billion; 2019 deliveries reached 8,205 cars.
Those figures are the company's reported results, not an outside audit.
He left the chair on 1 December 2020.
Winkelmann returned.
The next job was Formula One Group, announced in September 2020 and begun in January 2021.
