Crash Landing on You | Iseltwald Pier — Piano on a T-Dock

The pier is a T of wet boards, seven metres into Lake Brienz. The water is the colour of milled glacial stone. Behind it a village of four hundred people keeps boats under tarps and hangs laundry where any camera can see it.

Episode 7 of Crash Landing on You puts Ri Jeong-hyeok here with a piano that does not belong on a landing stage. He plays for a brother who will not come back. A boat crosses the frame. Yoon Se-ri hears the music before she understands why the sound is familiar. Later they will learn they stood in this same harbour years apart.

After the series aired, the queue for those boards ran to an hour. The commune put a gate on the dock and charged five francs in peak season. The pier is still a working landing. Ferries from Interlaken still call. Bus 103 from Interlaken Ost still drops you at Dorfplatz, a short walk from the water.

Stand at the end and look south. Giessbach Falls cut the opposite slope. The piano is gone. The boards still flex. That is the whole scene.
