Crash Landing on You | Lake Lungern — The Picnic That Closes the Book

Lungerersee is a small green lake in Obwalden, one pass west of Brienz. Pasture comes down to the water. A handful of chalets sit on the slope as if they had been placed for a last shot.

The finale of Crash Landing on You puts Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok here for the annual meeting the plot had promised. The house in the frame is a private residence. The shore road and the public viewpoints are not. A sign in the village now mentions the drama. That is as official as the pilgrimage gets.

You can walk the dam at the north end or sit on the grass above the water and watch the light move on the far slope. The picnic in the series lasts a scene. The lake keeps the same colour after the credits.

If you came from Iseltwald the same day, this is the quieter water. No gate. No five-franc dock. Just a lake that a camera happened to need.
