Lupin | Musée Nissim de Camondo — The Book Taken from the Library

The Musée Nissim de Camondo becomes the Pellegrini family residence in Lupin, and its library holds the small act that shapes Assane’s entire life. In a flashback, Babakar takes a copy of Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar from the wealthy household where he works and gives it to his son for his birthday. Surrounded by eighteenth-century furniture and the authority of the Pellegrini name, the borrowed book feels modest; in retrospect it is the most consequential object in the room, teaching Assane that intelligence and performance can challenge inherited power. The real museum has a history far deeper than its fictional role and is currently closed for renovation until 2030. Do not attempt entry: admire the façade from Rue de Monceau and respect the barriers, then continue into nearby Parc Monceau.
