The Doctors|Old Gyeonggang Station — The Platform Where the Rain Stopped the Ride

The old Gyeongchun Line left a station in Chuncheon's Namsan-myeon that no longer prints a timetable. Locals still call it Gyeonggang. In The Doctors the bicycles come off the Bukhangang path and duck under this roof when the weather breaks. Ji-hong and Hye-jung wait out the rain on a platform that trains no longer own.

The building sits on Seobaek-gil in Namsan-myeon. When the double-track Gyeongchun Line opened in December 2010 the active station moved and took the name Gulbongsan. The abandoned hall stayed. Rail-bike operators later threaded the old alignment. You can still walk the platform edge and look at the same river corridor the drama used as cover.

A working station would have given them announcements and a crowd. An empty one gives them the one thing the script needs: time they did not plan to spend together. The rain is an excuse. The roof is a fact.

Stand there on a wet afternoon and the new line hums somewhere behind the trees. The old signage is the part that matches the frame. Bring a jacket. The platform does not keep the wind out.
