Episode 1 of アンナチュラル (Unnatural) uses the Old Iwabuchi Water Gate (旧岩淵水門 / 赤水門) in Kita City, Tokyo for the riverside scene where Mikoto Misumi questions Michiko Baba. Filming-location records place the exchange at the historic red floodgate in Shimo 5-chome.
The real gate was built as part of the Arakawa flood-control works and is now retired from active floodgate duty, with the newer Iwabuchi Water Gate downstream taking over its function. Kita City continues to present the old gate as a local historic landmark, and visitors can view it closely from the adjacent bridge and riverside green space.
Pilgrimage note: this is a public riverside historic site, but conditions along the river can change with weather and flood-control operations. The drama’s exact camera positions should be treated as scene references rather than fixed markers.
