Unnatural | 大林組技術研究所 — The UDI Lab

The recurring 不自然死究明研究所 (UDI Lab) in TBS’s 2018 drama アンナチュラル (Unnatural) was filmed at the Obayashi Corporation Technology Research Institute in Kiyose, Tokyo. Contemporary filming-location records identify the research institute as the drama’s principal UDI location, and Obayashi still operates the real technology campus at 4-640 Shimokiyoto.

This is the most important physical anchor for an Unnatural pilgrimage because the UDI Lab is where Mikoto Misumi, Kei Nakado, Yuko Shoji and the rest of the team turn unexplained deaths into investigations. The real site is itself a research-and-development campus, which gives the fictional laboratory an unusually convincing institutional texture.

Pilgrimage note: this is an active private research facility, not an open film set or ordinary tourist attraction. Exterior/location appreciation should be done without entering the grounds unless access has been explicitly authorized by Obayashi.
