Biography|Anders Danielsson — The August Morning He Took Over Skanska Sweden

On 11 August 2008 Skanska named Anders Danielsson president of Skanska Sweden.

He took office the same day, succeeding Mats Williamson, who had moved to lead Skanska UK.

Danielsson was forty-one.

He had been with the company since 1991 and, from 2003, executive vice president of the Swedish business unit.

The group's visiting address that year was Råsundavägen 2 in Solna, next to the Haga Norra interchange on the E4.

Skanska Sweden then employed about 11,000 people and had booked roughly SEK 27 billion of revenue in 2007.

The appointment landed weeks before the American financial crisis reached European order books.

A trade profile the following February recorded the grim start: cancelled work, and the first test of a new president who had never run the home market from the top chair.

The group later left Solna.

In early 2014 it moved the head office to Entré Lindhagen on western Kungsholmen.

The pin is the old visiting address, not the later building.

What stands along Råsundavägen now is a changed office strip by the motorway, not a museum of the 2008 announcement.
