Biography | Brian Krzanich — The Santa Clara Filing That Ended His Fifth Year as Chief Executive

Intel's fifth year under Brian M. Krzanich ended on paper, not on a stage.

An 8-K dated 21 June 2018 records that he resigned as chief executive and director on 20 June.

The company's registered office for that filing is 2200 Mission College Boulevard, Santa Clara.

The Intel Museum, the public door of the same campus, sits at that address.

The board said an investigation by inside and outside counsel had confirmed a past consensual relationship with an employee, in breach of the non-fraternization rule that applies to managers.

The board accepted the resignation the same week it was informed.

Robert H. Swan, executive vice president and chief financial officer since October 2016, was named interim chief executive at once and kept the finance title.

Krzanich had held the top job since 16 May 2013.

He had been at Intel since 1982.

Swan later became the permanent chief executive; Pat Gelsinger followed in 2021.

The museum on this pin is a public exhibit hall.
