Goblin | Hanmi Bookstore — Yellow Paint on a Used-Book Alley

The shop is yellow because someone painted it yellow, not because a production designer asked.

Hanmi Bookstore has sold used paper on Baedari's book street in Incheon's Dong-gu since 1955. In Goblin the grim reaper and the goblin pass this facade, and the alley became a stop on the same map as a palace wall and a breakwater. The address sits around 11 Geumgok-ro, a few minutes from Dongincheon Station, in a lane that still carries cars between the stacks.

Books stand outside when the weather allows. Some titles are sewn in braille. The owner did not close after the cameras left. The street still holds a used-book festival. Fans take the yellow wall and leave. The shop keeps the hours of a real store.

Ask before you photograph inside. The pavement is the public part. The stock is inventory.

The scene works because the building was already tired and specific. A century of cheap editions behind a coat of paint. Two men who cannot die, walking past a business that has to make rent.

Stand on the curb long enough to let a delivery scooter go by. Then look at the yellow again. That is the ordinary fact the series borrowed, and it is still open.
