J-Drama Pilgrimage | 謎解きはディナーのあとで (2011) — 旧岩崎邸庭園 / Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens, the Hosho Estate

The October 18, 2011 premiere of Fuji TV’s 謎解きはディナーのあとで establishes 宝生麗子 / Reiko Hosho’s double life: a Kunitachi police detective who returns to the immense Hosho family residence and recounts each case over dinner to her butler, Kageyama. The filming-location archive identifies 旧岩崎邸庭園 (Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens) in Ikenohata as the real estate used for the mansion where Reiko lives.

The surviving Meiji-era property is now a Tokyo metropolitan historic garden and nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Tokyo’s park authority continues to operate the site and, in 2026, is advertising public tours and autumn programming there. This memory uses a property-level pin for the historic estate, not a particular room, actor position, or camera mark. Visitors should enter only during public opening hours and follow the garden’s heritage-building rules.
