J-Drama Pilgrimage | ビター・ブラッド Bitter Blood (2014) — 築地本願寺 / Natsuki’s Episode-1 Ride Through Tsukiji

Episode 1 of Fuji TV’s 『ビター・ブラッド』, broadcast April 15, 2014, follows 佐原夏輝 / Natsuki Sahara into his first day as a detective in the Ginza area. Before the father-son partnership settles into place, the episode establishes his movement through central Tokyo and the neighborhood around his new assignment.

The Nationwide Filming Location Guide identifies 築地本願寺 / Tsukiji Hongwanji as the building in front of which Natsuki rides his bicycle in Episode 1. It is a simple transitional shot, but it is useful for pilgrimage because the landmark is distinctive, publicly identifiable, and only a short walk from the drama’s Ginza police-station exterior.

Tsukiji Hongwanji remains an active Jodo Shinshu temple at 3-15-1 Tsukiji. Its official site currently lists the main hall’s visiting hours and provides access information, so this is not a preserved television set but a living religious institution that should be visited respectfully.

The stored coordinate is a temple-complex-level pin. It does not claim Natsuki’s exact bicycle line, a roadway mark, actor position, or camera position from the 2014 shoot.
