Byeokchoji Gardens sits on Buheung-ro in Gwangtan-myeon, Paju, a paid public arboretum VisitKorea lists as a working mix of Korean and European gardens, ponds, and themed walks. In episode 5 of Playful Kiss the same lawn stops being a botanical park.

Oh Ha-ni's head fills with a baroque battle. She and Baek Seung-jo face each other across planted geometry that was built for visitors, not for a ranking war. Bong Jun-gu is in the frame with them. The wager is school rank. The setting is a garden that charges admission and stays open through the year.

The address is 242 Buheung-ro. The map pin is the entrance the tourism board already publishes. You buy a ticket, walk past the pond trails and the European statues, and you are standing in the place where a bottom-ranked senior tried to make a genius take her seriously.

The series needed a landscape that looked expensive enough to host a fantasy and ordinary enough that a high-school girl could still be clumsy in it. Paju supplied both. The willows and pavilions are still there. The duel is not. What remains is the odd fitness of a suburban arboretum for a manga argument about who gets to stay in the top fifty.
