Queen Seondeok | Dae Jang Geum Park — The Yongin Lot That Borrowed Seorabeol

West of Yongin, behind a theme-park fence, a full Silla street still stands in timber. MBC built this lot as Dramia. The signs now say Daejanggeum Park. Same ground.

Queen Seondeok shot palace extensions and village work here when Gyeongju could not hold another unit. Jumong had already used the streets. Dong Yi and Moon Embracing the Sun would use them after. The lot is a rented century. Productions arrive, hang different banners, and leave the roofs alone.

You buy a ticket and walk a reconstructed main road that has been in more sageuk than any surviving Silla wall. Guides will point to Dae Jang Geum first. That is the park's brand. Ask for the Seondeok outdoor set and they will take you to the larger courtyards on the east side of the compound, where the camera had room for banners and horses.

The park is in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, a long bus or car ride from Seoul Station. It is not Gyeongju. Do not pretend it is. The drama needed scale that a living historic city would not give a film crew five days a week. This is that scale, parked in Gyeonggi-do, still open to anyone who wants to stand in a courtyard that has been three kingdoms depending on the call sheet.

Leave by the same gate you entered. The souvenir stall will try to sell you a queen. Buy the map instead. It is the only honest document on the lot.
