SKY Castle|Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital — The Corridor They Called Joo Nam

There is no Joo Nam University Hospital.

The doctors of SKY Castle go to work in a building the credits never name. The real floors are Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, at 7 Keunjaebong-gil in Hwaseong. Creatrip and Korean location reports put the hospital scenes here: the spine center politics, the corridor jokes, the men who rank each other between rounds.

Stand at the drop-off and the satire gets a loading dock. These are working doors. Ambulances use them. The drama borrowed an exterior and a set of halls so the husbands could have a kingdom that looked like medicine and behaved like a ranking table.

Do not walk the wards as a fan. Photograph the public face of the building from the street, then leave the patients the building. The pilgrimage is the substitution: a fictional elite hospital glued onto a real one in a new city south of Seoul.

SKY Castle premiered on 23 November 2018. Dongtan was already growing around this hospital. The series only assigned it a name the residents of the castle would respect.
