Sweet Home|Daejeon Station — The Concourse the Outbreak Inherited

Once the story left Seoul, it needed a civic building that already looked like a destination and a trap. Daejeon Station at 215 Jungang-ro, Dong-gu, opened in 1905 and was rebuilt for KTX. The plaza and the long brick-and-glass front appear in location lists for seasons two and three alongside the Government Complex and the Museum of Art. IMDb records Daejeon as a principal filming city. The station is the one you can enter without a permit.

Stand under the clock on the plaza. Trains to Seoul and Busan still call. The underground shopping arcade still sells kimbap. In the series the same mass of passengers and departures becomes the first public room where the outbreak is no longer a rumor inside one apartment. The architecture does the work: a high hall, a forecourt that can hold a crowd, a city attached to the tracks.

You will not find a monster here at noon. You will find the scale the later seasons required when Green Home was no longer enough. Buy a ticket or do not. The forecourt is the scene.
