ごくせん (2002) | Zoshigaya Kishimojindo — Tetsu and Minoru’s Takoyaki Shrine

雑司ヶ谷鬼子母神堂 in Toshima appears in the 2002 first series of ごくせん as the shrine where Tetsu and Minoru run their takoyaki stand in episode 2, broadcast 24 April 2002. The filming-location archive returns to the same shrine in episode 3, when Yankumi receives a bag from Tetsu, making it more than a one-shot background. The real Kishimojindo remains an active place of worship at 3-15-20 Zoshigaya and is nationally designated Important Cultural Property; the current hall dates principally from the seventeenth century. The coordinate, 35.7221, 139.7132, is a shrine-complex pin rather than an exact stall or camera position. Pilgrims can visit through the normal public approach, but this is first and foremost a religious site: keep voices low, avoid blocking worshippers, follow any photography restrictions, and do not recreate scenes in ways that interfere with ceremonies or temple activity.
