The Bank of Japan Head Office (日本銀行本店) in Nihonbashi was repurposed as the headquarters of fictional Daido Bank in episode 2 of TBS’s 2007『華麗なる一族』. The National Filming Location Guide identifies the Tokyo head office for the scene and notes that the production used CG between the Main Building and South Annex, so the on-screen bank complex should not be read as a literal record of the real architecture.

Episode 2 aired January 21, 2007. In the drama’s struggle over bank consolidation, Daido Bank is central to the financial maneuvering around the Manpyou family, making the real central-bank landmark an especially apt surviving location from the series.

The Bank of Japan still occupies 2-1-1 Nihonbashi-Hongokucho, Chuo-ku. Its official visitor information says the 1896 Main Building is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property and that guided tours are available by advance reservation.
