Biography | Justin Hotard — The Santa Clara Headquarters That Named Him to Data Center and AI

People treat Justin Hotard's Intel year as a footnote between HPE and Nokia.

Intel dated the appointment to this Santa Clara campus.

On 3 January 2024 the company announced from Santa Clara that Hotard would become executive vice president and general manager of the Data Center and AI Group.

The post was effective 1 February 2024.

He would own Intel's data-center products and the brief to put artificial intelligence into the company's servers.

The release named his last HPE title: executive vice president and general manager of High-Performance Computing, AI and Labs.

That was the group that delivered Frontier at Oak Ridge in 2022.

He succeeded Sandra Rivera, who moved the same winter to run Intel's Programmable Solutions Group.

Headquarters is 2200 Mission College Boulevard.

The named building on the campus is the Robert Noyce Building.

Wikipedia's Intel article uses the same campus coordinate.

Hotard held the Intel job for a little more than a year.

On 10 February 2025 Nokia named him president and chief executive.

He was to start on 1 April 2025 from Espoo.

The Santa Clara announcement is the public record of how he moved from selling exascale machines to running a chip company's data-center group.
