The French company register lists the SIRET for that address as the siège social. The Wings Campus beside Toulouse-Blagnac airport is the office the group opened in 2016 when it pulled headquarters work out of Paris and Munich.

On 10 July 2025 Airbus announced from Toulouse that Lars Wagner would succeed Christian Scherer as chief executive of the commercial aircraft business on 1 January 2026.

He would join the Executive Committee. He would leave MTU at the end of 2025.

The press release is dated on his fiftieth birthday.

The career the release summarizes is a loop: apprentice mechanic at the Bremen Airbus plant in 1997, engineer back at the same company from 2003, Hamburg years on the A350 fuselage, a decade at MTU, then the commercial chair of the firm that first hired him.
