Biography|Lars Wagner — The Munich Plant Where He Took the Chair on New Year's Day

Dachauer Straße 665 in Munich-Allach is the registered headquarters of MTU Aero Engines AG.

The imprint page of the company still prints that address, and OpenStreetMap labels the main gate and the on-site museum at the same number.

On 4 May 2022 the supervisory board, meeting in Munich, appointed Lars Wagner chief executive with effect from 1 January 2023.

The appointment was filed the same day as an ad-hoc release under the Market Abuse Regulation and reported by Reuters.

He was already inside the building.

Wagner had joined MTU in 2015 as executive vice president for OEM operations, entered the Vorstand as chief operating officer on 1 January 2018, and added the sustainability brief in May 2022.

Reiner Winkler stepped down at year-end 2022.

Wagner's first full year in the chair, 2023, is the year the annual report lists him as Vorsitzender des Vorstands, born 1975, Diplom-Ingenieur and MBA, appointed through 31 December 2025.

The plant is a working engine works, not a glass headquarters in the city centre.

Visitors who come for the museum still pass the same gate on Dachauer Straße.
