Fuji TV’s official synopsis confirms that plot turn, while the Nationwide Filming Location Guide identifies the tower directly as the scene’s lighthouse where Shinichi goes to meet site administrator 立花真希. The same location returns in episode 6 for another Shinichi–Maki meeting.

The waterfront tower and park remain an active public visitor facility; its official site continues to post 2026 events and operating notices. This makes it one of the cleaner surviving pilgrimage locations from the series.
