Episode 1, broadcast 15 January 2016, introduces Kyoko, Tomohiko, Miwa and their classmates inside the closed world of 陽光学苑 / Yoko Gakuen. The Nationwide Filming Location Guide identifies the former 千葉県立安房南高等学校 / Chiba Prefectural Awa Minami High School in Tateyama as the real location used for Yoko Gakuen’s classrooms in Episodes 1 and 2, while the production credits Awa High School cooperation across several early episodes. This location complements Minegaoka Auditorium rather than duplicating it: Utsunomiya supplied the academy exterior/assembly hall, while the preserved Tateyama school building supplied classroom spaces.

The surviving 千葉県立安房南高等学校旧第一校舎 / Old First School Building is itself historically significant. Chiba Prefecture says the present wooden two-storey building was completed in 1930 after the previous school was destroyed in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, and it has been a prefecturally designated Tangible Cultural Property since 1995. Its official address is 611 Hojo, Tateyama.

Pilgrimage note: the heritage building is not a normal always-open tourist attraction, and a filming classroom should not be assumed accessible. Observe gates, opening-event notices and any directions from the prefecture or Tateyama authorities.
