Drama: テレビ朝日『サムライせんせい』 / Samurai Sensei / Samurai Teacher (2015), scoped to the original eight-episode television series.

For the finale broadcast 11 December 2015, Takechi Hanpeita and Sakamoto Ryoma’s climactic sword fight was filmed on the rooftop of TV Asahi’s headquarters in Roppongi. ORICON reported that Ryo Nishikido and Ryunosuke Kamiki rehearsed the long scene for half a day and that filming on the headquarters rooftop took more than 12 hours. The filming-location record also identifies TV Asahi itself as the exterior of fictional 東都テレビ / Toto TV in the finale.

TV Asahi’s current corporate address is 6-9-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku. The rooftop is not presented here as a public visitor area; the stored coordinate is building-level. Fans can recognize the headquarters from public areas and use the publicly operated first-floor facilities when open, but should not attempt rooftop or staff-only access.
