Episode 1, broadcast 23 October 2015, uses 小湊鐵道 上総牛久駅 / Kominato Railway Kazusa-Ushiku Station as the fictional 神里村駅 / Kamisato Village Station, where Hashimoto arrives by train. The station gives the drama’s invented rural community a real railway gateway and is one of the easiest surviving locations for pilgrims to experience as an operating place rather than a private set.

Kominato Railway’s current official station page lists Kazusa-Ushiku at 897-2 Ushiku, Ichihara, opened 7 March 1925. It is an operating staffed station and a registered tangible cultural property.
