Drama: TV Asahi『民王』 / Tamiou (2015), scoped specifically to the eight-episode 2015 serial starring Kenichi Endo and Masaki Suda, not the later specials/spin-off or the 2024 reboot『民王R』.

Episode 1 aired on 24 July 2015. The story introduces Sho Muto as a university student living and working at the fictional curry shop「キッチンやみくも / Kitchen Yamikumo」before the body-swap with his prime-minister father Taizan throws both lives into chaos. The Nationwide Filming Location Guide identifies the real SPICE Cafe in Bunka, Sumida, as Kitchen Yamikumo and records the restaurant as filming cooperation for Episodes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and the finale, making it one of the drama’s strongest recurring real-world locations. Contemporary reporting on the finale also places a guest appearance at the fictional Kitchen Yamikumo.

The real SPICE Cafe is still operating at 1-6-10 Bunka, Sumida-ku. It opened in a renovated old wooden apartment building and remains a working restaurant, so a pilgrimage should be treated as a normal meal visit: check current opening/reservation rules, do not obstruct neighbors, and do not assume filming access to staff-only or private areas.
