The lawn drops toward Jungmun Beach. Palms break the wind. A wooden bench sits in the open grass of Seaes Hotel & Resort as if it had always been waiting for two people who no longer knew whose hands they were using.
After the first soul exchange, Kim Joo-won and Gil Ra-im found themselves here, on the Aldre lawn, with the convention centre on one side and the Hyatt ridge on the other. The kiss that followed was not tender so much as confused. The camera held the bench long enough that fans still ask the front desk for it by name.
Olle Trail 8 runs past the hotel. You can walk in from the tourist complex without a room key and stand on the same grass. The ocean is louder than the scene allowed. The bench is smaller than memory. That is the point of coming: to measure how little furniture a swap of souls actually needed.
