The Most is a fashion title. The building that stands in for that world is Zaha Hadid's Dongdaemun Design Plaza, opened in 2014, a year before the drama went to air.

Trazy and the usual Seoul location lists put She Was Pretty among the productions that used DDP's aluminum curves as a ready-made future. The plaza sits on the old Dongdaemun Stadium ground at 281 Eulji-ro. Subway lines 2, 4 and 5 meet under it. The roof park is walkable. At night the skin takes the color of whatever show is inside.

Hye-jin's life in the series is a collision between a Seochon alley and this kind of surface. That is why the location is not filler. The camera needed a Seoul that had already decided to look like tomorrow, so that a woman who had lost her childhood face would have somewhere public to stand while she tried on a new one.
