True Beauty | Yunboseon-gil — The Stone-Wall Lane That Held a Comic Shop

Yunboseon-gil starts at Anguk Station and runs toward a president's old house.

VisitKorea tells True Beauty pilgrims to begin here. In the series the lane is the walk to Prince Comic, the rental shop where Ju-kyung and Su-ho keep finding each other over cheap ramen and borrowed volumes. The shop front was a set dressed into a hanok. The wall and the slope are the neighborhood.

The road is 423 meters long and named for Yun Po-sun, whose family compound still sits on the Anguk side. Cafes and small stores occupy the rest. You can walk it in a few minutes if you do not stop. You will stop. The stone wall takes the light in the late afternoon the way the episode needed it to.

The comic rental itself is not a comic rental. Do not go inside expecting stacks of webtoon paperbacks. Go for the approach: the turn off the main street, the drop in traffic noise, the sense that two people could meet here by accident more than once.

Bukchon is famous for other dramas. This particular lane is the one True Beauty used as a habit. Walk it once without a camera and you will understand why they kept coming back.
