Biography|Jean-Philippe Imparato — The Commerce School on Rue Hoche He Finished in 1988

People now picture Grenoble École de Management in the glass ship on rue Pierre Sémard, two minutes from the station.

That building opened in 1992.

Imparato finished the school four years earlier.

The Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Grenoble opened ESC Grenoble in January 1984 on rue Hoche.

A SIRENE notice for the consular establishment lists 7 rue Hoche and records that site closed on 15 July 1992, the month the school moved to Europole.

He arrived from Sète after a literary baccalauréat.

A hometown profile later said he missed the first year with mononucleosis, not from idleness, and still took the diploma in 1988.

The official Stellantis biography still writes the line as GEM 1988. The name Grenoble École de Management itself dates only from 17 January 2003.

Until then the school was ESC Grenoble, then Groupe ESC Grenoble.

Rue Hoche today is a mixed street of sport halls and hotels. The classroom block he used is not standing as a school.

The pin is the documented address of the 1984 to 1992 establishment, not a claim that a visitor will find his lecture room.

After the diploma he did military service, then sent CVs, including one to PSA.

The later career makes the degree look inevitable. In 1988 it was a provincial commerce diploma from a school that was four years old, sitting in a street that the school itself would abandon.

The successor campus on rue Pierre Sémard is the photograph most searches return. It is the later ship, not the Hoche rooms.
