Biography | Nasser Al-Khelaifi — The Allianz Arena Night PSG Finally Won the Champions League

Franz-Beckenbauer-Platz 5, on the Fröttmaning Heath at the north edge of Munich, is the Allianz Arena.

UEFA called it the Munich Football Arena for the 2025 final.

On 31 May 2025 Paris Saint-Germain beat Inter Milan 5–0 here. It was the widest winning margin in any European Cup or Champions League final.

Désiré Doué scored twice. Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu scored the others.

Fourteen seasons after QSI bought the club, the thing the project had been built to get was in the cabinet.

PSG had reached one previous final, in Lisbon in 2020, and lost to Bayern Munich. The years with Zlatan Ibrahimović, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé had produced domestic piles and no European title.

Luis Enrique's side in Munich was younger and less decorated. The Financial Times treated the night as the end of a 14-year Qatari build.

Al-Khelaifi told CBS Sports after the match that the season was the club's best and that the work would not change with the result.

A year later, on 30 May 2026, the same club beat Arsenal on penalties in Budapest and became the second side in the Champions League era to win the trophy in consecutive seasons.

The Munich pin is the first of those two nights: the night the wait ended.

The ETFE skin of the stadium still changes colour. On 31 May 2025 it spent the evening in Paris colours.
