Biography|Torben Bang — Elected Vice Chair of Danish Industry in This House

The factory titles stayed in Jutland. The industry vote was taken on Rådhuspladsen.

On Thursday 26 September 2024 Dansk Industri held its ordinary general assembly in Industriens Hus.

DI's own press release that day named Torben Bang, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S, as vicebestyrelsesleder.

Altinget repeated the election the same afternoon.

He joined the elected leadership of the country's largest employers' organisation while remaining administrerende direktør of the Brande company.

DI lists him still against the Borupvej 16 address.

The building at H. C. Andersens Boulevard 18 sits on the corner of Vesterbrogade, opposite City Hall Square.

The present glass facade is the 2013 rebuild by Transform. Only the concrete decks of the 1979 Erik Møller house were kept.

Industry has occupied this plot since the Industribygningen of 1872.

The vote did not invent a public role. It formalized one he already held as spokesman for several thousand Danish wind jobs.

New names entered the hovedbestyrelse the same day, among them chiefs from Ørsted, NKT, Ambu and ISS.

Bang's election was the vice-chair line, not a freshman seat.
