Biography|Torben Bang — Named Danish Chief for 5,500 Wind Workers

The appointment was not a hire from outside. It was a promotion inside a factory he had already served for 24 years.

On 27 August 2020 the Danish company register recorded Torben Bang as administrerende direktør of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S.

He succeeded Andreas Nauen, who had become global chief on 17 June.

Finans and Metal Supply both dated the Danish job to that Thursday.

The brief covered about 5,500 people, mainly at the Brande works and the Aalborg blade factory on Assensvej 11.

He was already operating chief of the global service division.

The legal seat of the A/S stayed at Borupvej 16, 7330 Brande.

That is the pin.

Three names had hung on the same company while he stayed: Bonus Energy, Siemens Wind Power, Siemens Gamesa.

The Danish press treated him as the public face of the group in Denmark, not as global product chief.

He later also became administrerende direktør of Siemens Energy A/S, the sister company registered in Ballerup.

The 2020 job is the one that put 5,500 Danish wind jobs under one local signature.

Nacelle work at Brande would later be wound down. The register address did not move.
