Biography|Torben Bang — Hired as a Marine Engineer at Bonus Energy in Brande

People file the Danish wind story under Vestas. Bang entered through the quieter factory in Brande.

In 1996 he joined Bonus Energy as a marine engineer, a maskinmester.

Metal Supply and Finans both record the year and the title.

Bonus still sat on Fabriksvej 4.

The company register kept that address from the 1984 incorporation until July 2002.

Peter Stubkjær Sørensen's firm had started as Danregn Vindkraft in 1980 and taken the Bonus name in 1983, an easier word for the North American market.

By the mid-1990s it was Denmark's second-largest turbine maker.

That same year Bonus won a turnkey order for 56 machines of 600 kW from National Wind Power in Britain, then Europe's largest park.

Bang arrived as production and service work scaled, not as a founder.

Altinget later listed him as a ship engineer trained in Fredericia.

The marine-engineering diploma is the standard Danish maskinmester path into plant work.

Bonus had already supplied the eleven 450 kW machines at Vindeby in 1991, the first offshore wind farm.

He was not on that job. He walked into the factory five years later.

The legal entity later moved down the road to Borupvej 16.

Fabriksvej 4 remains a listed Siemens Gamesa production unit in the Danish register.

The pin is the older gate, the one he would have used in 1996.
