Flower of Evil | Jaha Super — The Corner Where They First Met

The sign on Jahamun-ro 42-gil 57 still reads like a neighborhood store, not a pilgrimage stop.

In Flower of Evil the production painted over that sign and called the place Eunha Super. It is where Cha Ji-won first sees Baek Hee-sung in the story's 2006 summer, outside the shop her mother runs. The building is a real corner mart that has been here since the 1970s. Low eaves, a flat bench, a door that opens onto a quiet slope under Inwangsan. Cherry trees still line the lane in April.

The drama needed a street that looked isolated without being empty. Buam-dong and Sinyeong-dong give you that. Development stopped short of these alleys because the old Blue House zone kept the heights down. What remains is a working shop, not a set. Neighbors still buy ice cream and banchan. Fans stand on the same pavement and wait for the light to hit the corner the way it did when two people who should not have trusted each other started talking.

Stand on the bench side and look back toward the tunnel. The shot is smaller than memory. That is the point. The first lie in this series begins at a store that still sells milk.
