Full House|Sugi Beach — The Shore Where the House Stood

Sugi Beach still curves like a bow on the north shore of Sido. Shallow water, a long sandbar, Ganghwa's Manisan sitting across the channel on a clear day. Incheon tourism and VisitKorea still list this beach as the Full House location. They are telling the truth about the shore and a half-truth about the house.

KBS spent about a million dollars on a wooden set built for the series, right at the water. After 2004 it became a ticketed museum. Korea.net recorded what happened next. The building was torn down in 2013 after storm damage. The sand and the pines remain.

You walk the same tidal flat Ji-eun's bicycle would have crossed. At low tide the mudflats open. At high tide the water comes in under the trees. There is no door to photograph and no living room through glass. What you get is the reason they put the house here in the first place: a quiet west-coast beach close enough to the airport that a day trip could still feel like an escape.
