Hanzawa Naoki | 梅田スカイビル Floating Garden — Alone Above Osaka

Osaka spreads below Hanzawa while the wind and height strip away the noise of the branch. The rooftop scenes in episodes three and five of 半沢直樹 Hanzawa Naoki were filmed at the 空中庭園展望台 Kuchu Teien Observatory of 梅田スカイビル Umeda Sky Building. Up here, the city that contains the missing loan, the tax investigators and the people hunting him becomes a field of lights and roofs.

The location gives Hanzawa something the bank rarely allows: distance. From street level he is trapped inside procedures and blame; above Osaka, the whole struggle can be seen as a landscape he still intends to cross. The real observatory remains a ticketed public attraction, reached through its dedicated entrance. Outdoor rooftop access can change with weather, so check the venue’s current conditions before going.

Leave room at the railings and let other visitors take in the view. When the glass towers catch their own reflections, the city seems to double around you. Hanzawa stands alone here, but he never looks defeated.
