The September 22, 2013 finale of TBS’s 『半沢直樹』 culminates in the Tokyo Chuo Bank board meeting where Hanzawa confronts Managing Director Akira Owada and forces the famous dogeza. Tokyo Location Box, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s film-commission service, identifies 学士会館 (Gakushi Kaikan) in Kanda-Nishikicho as the filming location and specifies Room 201 for that climactic scene. The broader filming guide also records Gakushi Kaikan as the bank’s corridor and main conference-room setting.

This is now a historical rather than normally accessible pilgrimage interior. The Gakushikai states that Gakushi Kaikan closed for temporary redevelopment on December 29, 2024, and its January 2026 newsletter still lists the hall as closed. A 2025 project release explains that the 1928 old building is being preserved as part of redevelopment, while the site is undergoing major work. Fans should therefore treat this as an exterior/site-context stop only and must not attempt to enter construction or restricted areas.

The pin 35.6931, 139.7589 is a building/site-level coordinate for Gakushi Kaikan at 3-28 Kanda-Nishikicho. It deliberately does not expose or recreate the precise position inside Room 201, an actor mark, backstage access, or a camera location. Even without interior access, this address remains one of the most important physical links to the 2013 series’ best-known confrontation.
