The real site changed substantially after filming. The school had closed in 2010, and the preserved school building was later converted into The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu, which opened in March 2020 at 2-204-2 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama-ku. Current hotel material explicitly describes the property as the former Kiyomizu Elementary School; the old rooftop configuration seen in the drama is no longer preserved as it appeared in 2016.
