J-Drama Pilgrimage | アルジャーノンに花束を Flowers for Algernon (2015) — 蓼科大滝・大滝遊歩道 / Algernon’s Burial Forest
kevin
Drama: TBS『アルジャーノンに花束を』 / Algernon ni Hanataba wo / Flowers for Algernon (2015), scoped to the 2015 TBS adaptation.
Episode 9 aired on 5 June 2015. TBS’s official Location Information Vol. 10 says filming took place around the 大滝遊歩道 (Otaki Promenade) in Tateshina, Chino, and connects this forest setting directly to the episode-9 sequence in which Algernon’s remains are buried. The location continues to matter as the drama approaches its finale, giving the Tateshina forest a particularly strong emotional role in the final arc.
Today, Chino City promotes 蓼科大滝 (Tateshina Otaki) and its surrounding moss-covered old forest as a natural attraction. The normal visitor approach is from the Pool Daira area, followed by a short walk toward the waterfall and forest. The stored coordinate, 36.061664, 138.270790, is a visitor-area anchor for Tateshina Otaki / the Otaki promenade environment; it is not claimed as the exact fictional burial point, an actor position, or a 2015 camera mark.
Pilgrimage note: stay on established paths, use the normal visitor access rather than narrow restricted or campground service routes, and take extra care on wet or slippery forest surfaces. Nothing in this memory implies that a physical grave or set element remains at the site.
