J-Drama Pilgrimage | ごめんね青春! Gomen ne Seishun! (2014) — 源兵衛川遊歩道 / The Recurring Genbe River Walkway

Drama: TBS『ごめんね青春!』 / Gomen ne Seishun! / official international title Saving My Stupid Youth (2014).
Episode 1 aired on 12 October 2014. The Nationwide Filming Location Guide identifies 源兵衛川遊歩道 (Genbe River Walkway) in Mishima’s Izumicho as the river where 海老沢ゆずる / Yuzuru Ebisawa calls out to 阿部あまり / Amari Abe. The same walkway returns in episode 2, where Amari and four other students sit by the river eating croquettes and talking, and again in episode 5 for the conversation involving Furui in the Mishimaru-kun costume and teacher Heisuke Hara. That recurrence makes Genbe River one of the strongest real-world anchors for the drama’s Mishima setting rather than a one-off background shot.
The river is a real 1.5 km clear-water channel fed from Kohama Pond in Rakujuen and running through central Mishima. Current Mishima tourism information still promotes the waterside walk, but a November 2025 notice warns that higher water can cover some stepping stones and make them slippery, so visitors should follow present conditions rather than trying to recreate the actors’ route exactly.
Pilgrimage note: treat this as a public walkway/river-level location. The stored coordinate is a representative geotagged point on the Genbe River in the same central-Mishima walking area, not a claim for the exact 2014 standing place, croquette spot, actor mark, or camera position. Stay on public paths and stepping stones that are open and safe at the time of your visit.
